Mr Paul Anderson is a urological surgeon, with clinical interests including bladder cancer, stone surgery, and the treatment of benign prostatic disease. After completing training as a Urologist with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Victoria he undertook a fellowship in pelvic oncology at the University Hospital of Wales, UK. He worked as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guy’s Hospital in London before returning to Melbourne in 2008. He currently holds an appointment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and also consults privately. He is the Assistant Director of Medical Education at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Clinical School at the University of Melbourne.
He has an active research portfolio involving surgical, medial and biomarker trials particularly in the fields of bladder cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He is an Associate Editor for BJUI Compass, and is an examiner for the Urology Fellowship Examinations at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
